DEPARTMENT VISION

To emerge as a centre of excellence in the field of Computer Science and Engineering education, and to produce technically competent, socially responsible professionals to cater the needs of industry and society.

 PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOS)

The graduates of the program are able to:

• PEO1: Develop proficiency as computer science professionals with an ability to solve a wide range of computational problems in industry, government, or other work environments with the usage of modern tools and emerging technologies or pursue higher studies
• PEO2: Communicate effectively, recognize and incorporate societal needs and constraints in their professional endeavors, and practice their profession with high regard to legal and ethical responsibilities.
• PEO3: Engage in life-long learning and remain updated in their profession to foster personal and organizational growth.

Engineering Graduates will be able to:

1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering
2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering
3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs)

• PSO1: Ability to understand the principles and working of computer systems to assess the hardware and software aspects of computer systems.
• PSO2: Apply standard Software Engineering practices and strategies in real-time software project development using open-source programming environment or commercial environment to meet the specified requirements.
• PSO3: Design and develop computer programs/ computer-based systems and use the knowledge and skills in various domains to identify research gaps and hence to provide solution to new ideas and innovations.
