Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

The Electronics and Tele-Communication Engineering (ET&T) Department has a rich tradition in academic and research. The research interests of the faculty members of the department encompass the wide area of applied and fundamental aspects of Electronics and Tele-Communication Engineering. Collaboration in between the research groups of the department and with other departments is also in a practice. Electronics and Communication is the largest and fastest growing field of engineering that is indispensable in every industry across the globe. This industry helps us to make our lives easier and enjoyable by covering a wide range of applications such as Television transmission, radio, Mobile communication, Computers etc. It aims to create specialists to design, fabricate, produce, test and supervise the manufacture of complex products and systems i.e. electronic equipment and components for a number of industries including hospitals, computer industry, electronic data processing systems for communication, defense etc.

The course encourage students to explore new solutions to the practical problems affecting our daily lives and they work withprogramming the microprocessors, hand on experience on fiber optics communication system, insight on fundamental of television, radio etc. View all the on-campus facilities which help students to nurture their skills for the professional growth for themself and the society.

Electronics has a vast role in improving productivity in industries like oil and natural gas, Non-conventional energy resources, agriculture and so many other important sectors of economy. In iron and steel industries , petroleum and chemical industries the electronic devices direct, control and test production processes. Health care industry largely depends on electronic instruments to perform chemical tests and to check body functions. The safety in transportation, factories, mines and in homes rely heavily on electronics. Indian Engineering services, BSNL, MTNL, HAL, BHEL, SAIL, Airport authority of India,  SAIL, Railways etc. are some of the top notch recruiters in this area.

Creating adaptable learning environment
As per the swift Technical expansion and the new learning solutions are available and it enables more information and communications technology a focal point of learning environment for the students. Department of Electronics and Telecommunication is determined to provide an adaptable learning to the students.

Learning through manifold channels
We focus in the planning of versatile studying and working methods which revolves around the learner. The learning environment is built taking into account the needs of various learners, enabling the use of manifold channels in learning situations like Problem and project based learning Channel, Industrial interactive channel, on-hand training channel and so on.

Learning through visual and audio environment
The illustration atmosphere greatly influences the awareness of visual stimuli as well as the learning outcomes and learning attitudes of the students. Every method and approaches is practiced through the use of audio and visual learning pedagogy, which benefit the students in one or the other way.

Teaching through assessment and peer review
Assessment play vital role in analyzing the outcome of the teaching learning process. This is accomplished by regular class test, assignments and tutorials. A peer review is than presented to students for their presentation and projection.

Interactive methods and program level strategies
Interactive methods are adopted through which simulation model of various virtual prototype is developed, which play important step for enhancing the knowledge of students. Small group teaching is also practiced for bringing out the best. A program level strategy mainly focuses on the various emerging research and entrepreneurship areas of Electronics and Telecommunication in the undergraduate level.
