Examination

As per Ordinance No 14 of BE 4 year degree course of Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University Bhilai, the Passing Examination (Clause 4.0) criteria are as:

4.0 PASSING EXAMINATIONS

4.1 BASIS OF MARKS

4.1.1 The performance of a candidate in each semester shall be evaluated subject-wise, with a maximum of 80 marks for Theory, 40 marks for Practical subjects and 20 marks for the teacher’s assignment.

4.1.2 There shall be Class test (CT) and End Semester Examination (ESE) and Teacher’s Assessment (TA) for each Theory paper and ESE and TA for each practical with the following distribution and passing standards.

4.1.3 For the evaluation of End Semester Exam in Practical, one external examiner shall always be there from outside the College/Institution and one internal examiner from the College/Institution.
4.1.4 There will be at least two class tests in each theory subject in a semester. Teacher’s assessment in each theory and/or practical will be based upon home assignments, quizzes, take home tests, viva-voce, attendance, group discussion, tutorials etc.

As per modification in ordinance 14 [B.Tech 4 year degree course] clause “4.1” new clause 4.1(Ordinance No 14) with reference to university notice no:CSVTU/Infocell/2019/3536 Bhilai dated 07.12.2019.

 Basis of Marks

  • The performance of a candidate in each semester shall be evaluated subject wise, with a maximum of 100 marks for theory, 40 marks for practical subjects and 30 marks for the teacher’s assessment.

There shall be class test (CT) and End Semester Examination (ESE) and Teacher’s Assessment (TA) for each theory paper and ESE and TA for each practical with the following distribution and passing standards. In theory student should score a total of 35% marks in ESE & CT [combined], a total of 40% in ESE,CT & TA[combined] and a total of 50% in ESE & TA in practical.

Online Examination Form

Students can fill online examination form of any semester through CSVTU online examination portal only. There are following procedures to fill online examination form:

  • Go to the CSVTU Web Site (csvtu.ac.in).
  • Click to Examination Form button on CSVTU home page.
  • Click online examination Form Link.
  • Fill the student login credentials.
  • Click the Exam Enrollment Button
  • Select the regular or backlog enrollment.
  • Submit the form and make payment.

After successfully submission of online Examination form, students must be submitted hard copy of the same to office of the college.

Online Examination Grievances

Students can raise a ticket for any grievances related to exam through CSVTU web site.There are following procedure to raise a ticket online:

  • Go to the CSVTU Web Site (csvtu.ac.in).
  • Click Student Login on CSVTU home page.
  • Fill the Student login credentials.
  • Click “Report Technical Issue”
  • Fill all the details in the form and attached documents if any that support your issue.
  • Save the form.
  • A new ticket no will be generated.
  • Students can see the status of the grievance through this ticket no by clicking”Status of Registered issue” on student home page.

Students can also submit an application with ticket no to Examination Section of the college.
