The Students’ Council of Chouksey Group of colleges is the apex committee among all the committees/ associations of the Group. It consists of student members from each class, right from First Year to Final Year. The Convener of Students’ Council is Prof (Dr) Sanjay Pandey.

The Students’ Council performs following functions:

• A platform for students raises issues and grievances.
• Organisation of Prize Distribution Ceremony.
• Works in coordination with all Committees and Departments. .
• Work to provide better Infrastructure and Services for our Students.
• Developing new initiatives to improve the life of students at Chouksey Group.
• Performing other promotional and consequential tasks at hand to endorse Chouksey Group.
• To integrate college activities with students and bring new laurels to college.
• Organizes other events

Nowadays, there is an increasing trend among the students of higher education to enrol in institutions that are away from their home. They do this in search of better facilities and quality of education. Due to its high rank at the regional and national level among higher education institutes, Chouksey Group of colleges is a favourite for students not only from Chhattisgarh, but also from all over India.

The task of student committee is being a bridge between the students and the Colleges. The Committee will make sure that it provides emotional support and a safe environment to study in. The outstation students will be provided important information about police stations, hospitals, railway network, etc. For this, groups of 5 students each are made with one Students’ Committee member as a mentor. The mentor will remain in constant contact with the students in the respective group. The mentor will respond to the queries and issues faced by the students and outstationstudents. Student Members of the Students’ Committee have collected details of the students which would be used for further communication.

Student Council is an organization conducted by students and supervised by adults.  The purpose of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out college activities and service projects.  In addition to planning events that contribute to college spirit and community welfare, the student council is the voice of the student body. They help share student ideas, interests and concerns with the college wide community.

The function of the student council is based upon parliamentary procedures.  Ideas are presented, voted upon and confirmed by the student body president.  Any student that is interested in leadership, organizational behavior, event planning or becoming more involved in the college is welcome to become involved.
